Fire-retardant curtain for use during fire in public building, has elongated channels formed between layers of sheet material, where thermally-expandable powder material is attached to channels under degraded gas pressure
The curtain has a double-walled cloth made from fire-proof material and comprising height and breadth. Thermally-expandable powder material (101) i.e. graphite, is held between walls of the cloth. An operating unit is provided for rolling and unrolling the cloth. The expandable material is fastened between the walls in the form of segments (100) comprising layers (102, 103) of sheet material, where the layers are connected with one another. Elongated channels (104) are formed between the layers, where the expandable material is attached to the channels under degraded gas pressure.
