The method involves determining the complexity index in given area on edit track section depending on number within the range of local decision points, calculated as located node. The complexity parameter is determined depending on the complexity of each detected characteristic. The guidance mode which is representative of kind of visual and/or audible indication of guidance instructions to the driver is determined depending on editing of route section associated with complexity parameter. The destination guide is performed based on specified route in the determined leadership mode. An independent claim is included for method for generating digital map.
