Furniture for use as e.g. standing desk in school for children, has worktop fixable in selectable swivel position over pivotal connection unit, and pivoting device provided in regions of upper edge of plate and rear edge of worktop
The furniture has a back plate (2) vertically displaceable on a base body (3) and fixed over a vertical connection unit (8) in a desired vertical position. A worktop (1) is swingably connected with the plate over a pivoting device (4) e.g. metal hinge, and fixable in a selectable swivel position over a pivotal connection unit (7). The pivoting device is provided in a region of an upper edge (5) of the plate and in a region of a rear edge (6) of the worktop. The worktop is swingable from vertical position to horizontal position around a pivotal axis of the pivoting device.
