Radiation-selective absorber multilayer system (1) comprises silicon nitride, and an absorbent layer, where the silicon nitride is present in the absorption layer (5) and forms a matrix (4), in which nano-crystalline grains (3) are bound. An independent claim is also included for an absorber for a solar thermal power station, comprising a component, preferably an absorber tube of a Fresnel-collector, a parabolic trough collector, a heat receiver of a paraboloid, or a dish stirling power plant, which is coated with the above radiation-selective absorber multilayer system.
