PURPOSE: A method for filtering terrestrial radar material using fuzzy set theory is provided to quantify unclear membership information and redundancy included in characteristics factors of each object in raw image material into the form of membership grade numerically. CONSTITUTION: A supervision and classification unit (62) selects two sample domains as raw image data according to two classification items, and samples characteristics factor values for objects included in each sample domain. A classification/fuzzy section calculation unit (63) sets classification and fuzzy section of the characteristics factor value. A membership value calculation unit (64) calculates membership values for characteristics factor value per characteristic factor of all objects of the raw image data. An object extraction unit (67) separates and extracts the objects into the classification items, according to the judgment result of a membership decision unit (66).
