The invention relates to a prototypic selective ligand of the sigma-1 receptors:3,3-dyohenyl-N-(phenylethyl)propan-1-amine and its pharmaceutically accepted salts and excipients exhibiting in one hand, prototypic anti-apoptotic properties and cell protection action on physiological cells especially on neurons cells (anti-degenerating and particularly anti-neuro-degenerating and cell-protective action) and on the other hand pro-apoptotic properties on cancer cells, which properties in combination to the aforementioned neuroprotective action give the ligand its prototypic pharmacologicalanti-cancerous profile; being synergetic with existing anti-cancerous medicines, said ligand is in position to act against neuropathetic pains induced by these last.
