Attribution points for policy management for improvement of a determination of an access control decision; identity verification; rights management determination; or permissions inquiry. These attribution points include those between a Policy Enforcement Point and a Policy Decision Point; as well as resources for Policy Decision Point when there is not sufficient information received from the Policy Enforcement Point. Attribution Points facilitates the augmentation of attributes; speed the transmission of attributes between PEP and PDP; reduces the elapsed time for a decision; and maintains security over the attributes.
