PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present conversion candidates adapted to a user even for a word which has not been input in the past. PSOLUTION: A Kana-Kanji conversion-prediction engine (core part) 42 determinates the priority order of conversion logics on the basis of the priority of respective conversion logics in the combination of conversion logics applicable to a character string to be converted and generates a conversion candidate list for the character string to be converted by using a Kana-Kanji conversion-prediction dictionary 44 in accordance with the priority order. The conversion logic determines an attribute of a word to be converted from the character string to be converted. When a conversion result is defined, a Kana-Kanji conversion-prediction engine (user dependence part) 43 increases the priority of the conversion logic used for extracting the defined notation for the combination of the conversion logics applicable to the character string to be converted. Namely, the Kana-Kanji conversion-prediction engine 43 learns which attribute is to be preceded in the combination of attributes allowed to be applied to words in a syntax allowed to be adopted to the character string to be converted.
