The method involves creating a library of components (34), and assembling the library of components to model circuit architecture (30) by interconnecting components of entry ports (35, 36) modeled through nodes (n5, n6). Each port is characterized by a pair of potential and flow parameters to linearize a relationship between the potential and flow parameters. A system of linear equations to be solved is built by applying the law of nodes in the relationship between the linearized parameters.
