Gearbox device for motor car, has frictional engagement unit whose moment of inertia is smaller than total moment of inertia of coupling unit, where total moment of inertia corresponds to maximum torque transferred to gear
The device has a coupling unit i.e. brake unit, comprising a frictional engagement unit (11a) i.e. multiple-plate brake, and a form-fitting unit (12a) e.g. dog clutch, that is connected in parallel to the engagement unit. The engagement unit and the form-fitting unit are provided with switched transmission gears for transmitting a torque. The coupling unit has a total moment of inertia, which corresponds to maximum torque that is transferred to one of the gears. The engagement unit has a moment of inertia, which is smaller than the total moment of inertia. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a motor car gear box device.
