Method for selecting type of tire for motor car, involves computing features from tire properties in database, and determining optimum decision parameter comprising least discrepancy to target value so as to determine tire type
The method involves detecting the characteristics (3,6,9) such as load, mileage and maintenance interval in vehicle by a sensor system. The features (10-12) such as reduction of fuel consumption and fuel cost, are computed from the tire properties and the characteristics for each tire (16). The decision parameters (14) are computed from the features and are compared. The optimum decision parameter (15) comprising the least discrepancy to a preset target value is determined. The tire type is selected based on the features from tire properties and optimal decision parameter. An independent claim is included for system for selecting type of tire.
