The transmission has two input shafts (1,2), which are drive connected with drive motor by two clutches (K1,K2). An output shaft (3) is connected with a drive train for driving wheels of motor vehicles. A parallel shaft (14) is drive connected with the input shaft by a gear pair. The parallel shaft is coupled with another output shaft (18) over a switching arrangement (D). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a transmission.
