Method for testing continuity of oil return channels in cylinder crankcase of internal combustion engine, involves testing continuity of oil return channels in crankcase by flow measurement by granules and/or fluids fed through channels
The method involves testing continuity of oil return channels (3) in a cylinder crankcase (1) by flow measurement by granules and/or fluids as measuring medium that is fed through the channels. A minimum mass flow to a fully-continuous return channel is made for mass flow measurement and utilized as a reference value for measuring processes. An amount of measuring medium is measured such that the medium fills maximum volume of the channels. A size and shape of the granules are adjusted such that maximum volume flow is obtained. The granules are made of plastic, metal, sand or ceramic materials.
