Longitudinal guide i.e. rail, for motor car seat for receiving forces during crash, has transition region provided between L-leg and connection leg, where target bending points for end regions of head rail are provided in transition region
The guide (1) has a transition region provided between an L-leg of a head rail (2) and an opposite connection leg (24), where target bending points (29) for end regions (23, 28) of the head rail are provided in the transition region. The target bending points are less stiff than curved or bent portions (10, 11) of the head rail. The curved or bent portions are provided with embossing that are formed by a cold transformation process to produce high stiffness, where the embossing is formed in curve-shape. The connection leg runs diagonally downwards.
