摘要
FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: elastic waves are excited and a seismogram is recorded, as a rule via a common-depth-point technique from which time-distance curves of longitudinal waves reflected from the upper and lower boundaries of a certain layer of the transverse-isotropic medium with a vertical axis of symmetry are obtained. For the given value of the beam parameter (or reduction velocity equal to the inverse value of the beam parameter), reduction of said time-distance curves is performed. The concept of effective beam velocity is introduced, the value of which is fully defined by the beam parameter, difference in zero time values and difference in values of the reduced time-distance curves at their minimum points. The inverse square of the effective beam velocity is a linear function of the square of the beam parameter. Approximation of values of this function, obtained for the given range of discrete values of the beam parameter via a least-squares technique, gives two parameters of an approximating line from which the apparent layer velocity and horizontal velocity of the seismic wave in the selected layer is calculated.;EFFECT: simplification, high accuracy and stability of the process of measuring velocity.;3 dwg
