PURPOSE: A diaphragm wall and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent be used for construction at a downtown area by reducing vibration and noise. CONSTITUTION: A construction method of a diaphragm wall is as follows. The ground where a diaphragm wall is installed is excavated. A shallow trench is formed in the excavated ground. Forms are installed in both sides of the shallow trench. Guide walls are formed by arranging reinforcing bars on the forms and placing concrete in the forms. Deep trenches are formed on the guide walls. A latticed guide frame is installed on the top end of the shallow trench. A steel pile composed of multiple H-beams is assembled and is inserted into the deep trench of the guide frame. A tremie pipe is inserted into the shallow trench. Low-strength concrete is placed in the deep trench and is cured using the tremie pipe.
