The present invention relates to a human monoclonal antibody that binds specifically with oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) and carbamylated LDL (cLDL), and an antigen binding fragment (Fab) thereof, and more specifically relates to a human monoclonal antibody and the Fab thereof which bind specifically with human or rat atheromatous plaque lesions and to plaque 15, 16-46. The monoclonal antibody and the Fab thereof of the present invention include a heavy chain variable region (VH) and a light chain variable region (VL) specific to ox-LDL and cLDL, and are thus useful in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of arteriosclerosis and other atheromatous vascular diseases. Also, the present invention is highly economical because detection of lesions in both humans and rats are possible, providing a novel antibody that can be used throughout a new drug development from the pre-clinical stage (animal testing stage) to the clinical stage.
