A system for grouping registered individuals at a convention / conference, said system comprising: a plurality of information storage and transmission devices, each device corresponding to and placed on a single registered individual, said device adapted to store pre-defined information relating to identification of said individual, and further adapted to transmit said stored information; - reading means adapted to read said transmitted information from each of said plurality of information storage and transmission devices; central server adapted to receive said read information and further adapted to collate said read information in relation to grouping individuals in accordance with pre-defined meetings in terms of time; electronic display device, including a memory, corresponding to each of said registered individual, programmed to store an itinerary of said individual with respect to at least an another individual using said information storage and transmission device in respect of a prospective meeting in terms of time and identification information; searching means adapted to search for said at least an another individual based on transmitted signal from said at least an another individual"s information storage and transmission device, said central server, and said stored itinerary on said electronic display device; computation means adapted to gauge searched signal strength from said at least an another individual"s information storage and transmission device and to compute distance between said individual and said at least an another individual based on parameters selected from a group of parameters consisting of gauged signal strength, information from said central server, and said memory information of said electronic display device; and display means on said electronic display device adapted to display said computed distance between said individuals in accordance with pre-defined graphic options.
