PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary heating instrument, a heating device and a heating method capable of easily and promptly heating a plurality of samples by microwave and reducing uneven heating among the samples as well as to provide a measuring method of chemical oxygen consumption capable of easily and promptly heating a plurality of water samples and reducing fluctuation in measurement accuracy among the samples.SOLUTION: An auxiliary heating instrument 4 comprises: a plurality of positioning sections 16 and 17 which are arranged on a circumference of a circle to position a plurality of sample containers; and microwave reflection sections 9 which are respectively arranged between a center C1 of the circle where the plurality of positioning sections are arranged and the plurality of positioning sections.
