PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measurement method inside stored coal for accurately measuring temperature inside a coal pile loaded in bulk.SOLUTION: When a coal pile 1 is loaded in bulk like a layer, temperature detectors 2 in which pieces of tag identification information are preliminarily known are sequentially installed at predetermined intervals while forming layered stored coal, the layered stored coal is further laminated, and the temperature detectors 2 are embedded in the coal pile 1. In a computer 4, the pieces of tag identification information of the temperature detectors 2 are associated with embedded positions where the temperature detectors 2 are embedded to generate pieces of tag embedding information, the pieces of tag embedding information are stored in the computer 4 to construct an embedding position database. By communication between RFID tags of the temperature detectors 2, the pieces of tag identification information and temperature information are transmitted to other RFID tags in the surroundings, and received by a receiver 3 outside the coal pile 1. The pieces of tag identification information received by the receiver 3 are collated with the embedding position database to specify a spontaneous combustion part of the coal pile 1.
