Device for detecting length and/or position of e.g. lift container, has supporting strip whose lateral strip area is uncovered by longitudinal strip, and slide unit that acts together with strip area to guide supporting strip
The device has a measuring slide unit for accommodating a magnetic sensor unit that acts together with length and/or position coding. A longitudinal strip (36) has breadth that is smaller than breadth of a supporting strip (34), and arranged on the supporting strip such that a lateral strip area (38) of the supporting strip is uncovered by the longitudinal strip. The slide unit acts together with the strip area to guide the supporting strip. The supporting strip is made from metallic material, and the slide unit has a guiding slot whose wall is made from polymer material.
