PURPOSE: A method for preparing nitroparaffin is provided to obtain nitroparaffin in high yield while performing nitration reaction at low temperature under an atmospheric pressure and to control the yield of nitroparaffin according to the selection of catalysts. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing nitroparaffin comprises a step of performing nitration of C2~C40 hydrocarbon-halide and sodium nitrite in one kind of a solid acid catalyst selected from a heteropolyacid catalyst represented by chemical formula 1, a metallic oxide catalyst, and a montmorillonite catalyst surface-modified with a metal ion. The metallic oxide catalyst is one kind or more selected from the group consisting of TiO2-ZnO, TiO2-MoO3, TiO2-Al2O3, TiO2-ZrO2, TiO2-La2O3 and TiO2-WO3.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
