摘要

PURPOSE: A channel estimation method and apparatus thereof which uses a pilot signal in an OFDM base wireless communication system are provided to estimate a virtual channel from an optimum pilot pattern and to increase channel estimation performance of an OFDM base wireless communication system. ;CONSTITUTION: A first estimating unit estimates a virtual channel from a common pilot signal by using beamforming(203). A determining unit determines the pattern of an optimum pilot signal that is estimated from the first estimating unit. A second estimating unit estimates a channel by using the pilot signal. The first estimating unit estimates a virtual channel from the estimation value of a common pilot channel.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
