PURPOSE: A slab scarfing device and a method thereof are provided to prevent the deformity of an edge part by uniformly maintaining the depth of the surface in a scarfing process of a slab.;CONSTITUTION: A slab scarfing device comprises a profile production members(20,22) and a control member(40). The profile production member produces the surface profile of the slab. The profile production member is arranged on the front and rear side of a scarfing machine(10) at a regular interval. The control member compares the profile data about the slabs before after scarfing, in order to calculate the scarfing depth of the slab.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
