NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION FOR THE PREVENTION OR TREATMENT OF NON-NUTRITION IN AN OBESE PATIENT, AS WELL AS USE OF A SOURCE OF PROTEIN, VITAMIN A, VITAMIN C, VITAMIN E, ZINC AND SELECTION FOR ITS PREPARATION. The present invention relates to the composition and method for providing nutritional support to obese patients. The composition has an energy density between 0.4 and 0.9 kcal / mI and comprises a protein source that comprises at least 30% by weight of whey protein and provides at least 30% of the total calories in the composition. The composition can include a carbohydrate source and a lipid source. Preferably, at least 50% by weight of the protein source is whey protein. The invention also extends to the use of the composition in preventing or treating malnutrition in obese patients.
