Disclosed are a livestock feces treatment method and a livestock feces utilization method, each of which comprises the steps of: thermally decomposing chicken feces; further decomposing a carbide produced in the proceeding thermally decomposing step in a reductive atmosphere to separate an inorganic material contained in the carbide from the carbide; binding oxygen to the inorganic material to produce an inorganic oxide (a ceramic material); and utilizing the inorganic oxide. The inorganic oxide produced by the methods can be used as a livestock feed additive or the like for the purpose of achieving an anti-viral effect in the body of a poultry.
