PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of natural molting of poultry, bird infectious laryngotracheitis, Dermanyssus gallinae, crab lice; and to lower the natural mortality rate. PSOLUTION: A livestock feces treatment method and a livestock feces utilization method each comprise the steps of: thermally decomposing chicken feces; further decomposing a carbide produced in the proceeding thermally decomposing step in a reductive atmosphere to separate an inorganic material contained in the carbide from the carbide; binding oxygen to the inorganic material to produce an inorganic oxide (a ceramic material); and utilizing the inorganic oxide. The inorganic oxide produced by the methods can be used as a livestock feed additive or the like for the purpose of achieving an anti-viral effect in the body of poultry.
