PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect the return path conductors even of DC coaxial cables having different number of return path conductor strands while shortening the welding work time of the return path conductor strands when the return path conductors of both DC coaxial cables are connected at the joint of DC coaxial power cables each having a main conductor in the center, a main insulator on the outside thereof and a return path conductor obtained by stranding a large number of return path conductor strands concentrically on the outside thereof.;SOLUTION: A return path conductor strand bundle 24 is formed by arranging the return path conductor strands 12 of both DC coaxial cables such that a plurality of strands adjoin another plurality of strands, and both return path conductor strand bundles 24 are welded while butting the distal ends on the cable core 11 of one DC coaxial cable to form a welded portion 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
