Use of a combination comprising 0.001-1 wt.% of olive oil and 0.01-1 wt.% of at least a protein hydrolysate, in an aqueous hair treatment composition for reducing and/or preventing split ends and/or hair breakage, is claimed. An independent claim is included for reducing and/or preventing hair breakage and/or split ends comprising applying leave-on or rinse-off hair treatment composition containing olive oil and protein hydrolysate on the hair, massaging and optionally rinsing, after an exposure time of 1 minute to 1 hour.
