Braiding device for braiding of braiding core with e.g. carbon fiber, has guiding device with guiding units that are movable in directions, which are oriented transverse to conveying direction, for lateral guidance of braiding core
The device has a guiding device (20) with two guiding units that are movable in directions, which are oriented transverse to a conveying direction (F), for lateral guidance of a braiding core (10). The guiding device is arranged in a near region to a braiding point of the device. The guiding units comprise guiding elements e.g. guiding rollers, which are rotatably supported around a rotation axis directed transverse to the conveying direction. A pressing device presses the guiding elements towards the braiding core in the directions. An independent claim is also included for a method for braiding a braiding core.
