The tool (1) has a driver runtime system (3) cooperating with a constructed driver software for implementation of driver software tests during driver software development and simulating hardware of a target system during the tests. The runtime system forms an interface (2e) for the hardware after implementation of the runtime system is taken place on the target system. Program modules are stored in a driver library of the runtime system, and are associated with universal serial bus (USB)classes.
