Timepiece i.e. mechanical watch, has selection mechanism modifying position of control unit during its actuation, where actuating unit cooperates with ring to actuate selection mechanism during lateral translational displacement of ring
The timepiece has a case (2) containing a watch movement (6) that is provided with a control unit (12) i.e. pull rod. A ring (3) is mounted free in rotation, in the case. A selection mechanism modifies a position of the control unit during its actuation. The ring is movable in lateral translation with respect to the case when the ring is subjected to lateral pressure. An actuating unit cooperates with the ring to actuate the selection mechanism during lateral translational displacement of the ring, where the actuating unit is constituted of a sliding pinion (8).
