PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution and a thin film containing a large amount of armchair type carbon nanotubes.;SOLUTION: A solution and a thin film containing armchair type carbon nanotubes by at least 30%, or a solution and a thin film containing metallic carbon nanotubes having a chiral angle of 20 degrees or more by at least 90%, are obtained through steps of: disposing a solution prepared by mixing sodium cholate and sodium dodecyl sulfate in a centrifugal tube, to which a concentration gradient is imparted by iodixanol molecules; dispersing carbon nanotubes by using sodium deoxycholate as a surfactant to obtain a dispersion liquid and preparing a mixture aqueous solution of sodium cholate-sodium dodecyl sulfate-iodixanol molecules from the dispersion liquid; inserting the solution into the centrifugal tube; and treating the centrifugal tube by a centrifugal separator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
