PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating the producing center of farm products with high precision, and a method for discriminating cultured, imported and natural eels with high precision.;SOLUTION: The producing center of the farm products is discriminated by comparing the nitrogen stable isotope ratio of amino acids, which are acquired with respect to farm products to be subjected to the discrimination of a producing center, with the nitrogen stable isotope ratio of the amino acids of the farm products preliminarily acquired with respect to the farm products in a plurality of producing centers. In a separate mode, the kind of an eel is discriminated by comparing the nitrogen stable isotope ratio of two or more kinds of elements acquired with respect to an eel to be discriminated with the nitrogen stable isotope ratio of two or more kinds of elements preliminarily acquired with respect to a home-produced cultured eel, an imported cultured eel or a home-produced natural eel.
