The system allows a user to be remotely and selectively informed in an environment. It comprises several identification tags (Bi) and at least one remote control (T) which is intended to be manipulated by the user. The remote control (T) comprises a radio transmitter (6), selection means (8) enabling the user to select information (I) from among a set of information items (Ij), voice reproduction means (9) for rendering vocally, audibly and comprehensibly for the user, systematically each information (I) selected using the selection means (8), validation means (10) allowing the user to trigger the transmission by the transmitter (6) of a code (CB) specific to the last information (I) which has been vocally rendered. Each beacon (Bi) comprises a radio receiver (6), code recognition means (CB) received, signaling means (4) which are triggered when a received code (CB) has been recognized.
