The device has ignition points (8) implemented with plasma forming mixture pre-ignition when accelerating a piston (18) by other ignition point (9). A reflector element (19) is formed in mechanical dimension such that the reflector element is mechanically processed by an assembly opening of a coupling element (3) and/or replaced as a mechanical unit. An upper edge (11) of an optical transparent element (16) is positioned with a piston base (12). A laser (5) is guided over an optical beam expansion element (6) into a combustion chamber (7).
