Power transmission controlling method for power train of e.g. lorry, involves interrupting power transmission in turbo-compound system within range of rotational speed-torque-values depending on detected rotational speed and detected torque
The method involves detecting actual rotational speed of a crankshaft (3) or drive shaft of an internal combustion engine (1) e.g. diesel engine, from a parameter correlating with the speed. An actual torque is detected from a parameter correlating with the torque by which the crankshaft or shaft of the engine is driven by the engine. A power transmission in a turbo-compound system within a range of a pair of rotational speed-torque-values is interrupted depending on the detected speed and the detected torque. A drive power is fed from an exhaust gas utilizable turbine (4) into a power train.
