PROTEIN CONSTRUCTION, COMPLEX, METHOD TO EXTEND FACTOR VIII (FVIII) IN LIVING LIFE OR A BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE DERIVATIVE OF THE SAME PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR FORMING A CONSTRUCTION. The present invention relates to a proteinaceous construct (also called polymer-VWF conjugate) comprising plasma and / or recombinant von Willebrand factor (VWF), wherein said VWF is linked to at least one molecule and also to a complex of said proteinaceous construct and at least one factor VIII protein (FVIII). The physiologically acceptable polymer molecule may be, for example, polyethylene glycol (PEG) or polysialic acid (PSA). Additionally, the present invention relates to methods for prolonging the in vivo half-life of VWF or FVIII in the blood of a mammal having a bleeding disorder associated with functional defects of, or deficiencies of at least one of FVIII or VWF.
