PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for deep hole drilling, an apparatus for evaluating a deep hole and a method for evaluating positioning errors, a method for evaluating a deep hole, an apparatus and method for adjusting an optical axis of the apparatus for deep hole drilling and the apparatus for evaluating a deep hole, which perform the deep hole drilling and evaluation of the deep hole drilling with high accuracy.;SOLUTION: The deep hole drilling is carried out such that the rotary motion of a rotational driving means is transmitted to a deep hole drilling tool 5a via a boring bar 1a, and a table 6 having a workpiece 4 fixed thereon is advanced toward the deep hole drilling tool 5a while turning the deep hole drilling tool 5a. The deep hole drilling tool 5a rotates about a guidance axis located along the axis 7 of the boring bar 1a. The deep hole drilling tool 5a has a cutting edge 8a at its tip end of the side to be brought into contact with the workpiece 4, and carries out the deep hole drilling while cutting the workpiece 4.
