Centrifugal liquid-liquid partition chromatography device for separating e.g. chiral molecule in cosmetic industry, has chromatographic columns subjected to centrifugation, and continuous extraction unit to continuously extract solutes
The device has chromatographic columns (1, 2) subjected to a centrifugation, and an injection unit (4) injecting a solution (5) comprising solutes to be extracted. A continuous extraction unit continuously extracts the solutes (A, B), and is formed of two non-miscible heavy and light liquid phases (6, 7) of a two-phase solvent system. Each column has disks each containing a succession of cells e.g. blender. Each cell has two inlets and two outlets corresponding to the phases. An independent claim is also included for a continuous chromatography method.
