Collet chuck for e.g. turning lathe, has chip removal channels arranged behind clamping jaws, and extending in radial direction, where chip removal channels are provided for evacuation of chips
The chuck has a chuck body (2) extending along a longitudinal axis (1), where the chuck body exhibits clamping jaws (5) in a region of front side (3) that extends transverse to the longitudinal axis. The clamping jaws are movable radial to the longitudinal axis, and are arranged in an open cavity (4). Chip removal channels (6) are arranged behind the clamping jaws, and extend in a radial direction, where the chip removal channels are provided for evacuation of chips. The chip removal channels penetrate into a wall of the cavity, and a chip collecting channel (7) encloses the chuck body. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool comprising a compressed air nozzle.
