The method involves illuminating a set of solar cells (S1-SN) with a light spot. Photo stream is deviated into the illuminated solar cells, where the photo stream is produced in the solar cells. The voltage dropping is simultaneously measured over a solar cell module (10) e.g. copper, indium, selenious thin layer solar cell module. The solar cell surface is scanned with the light spot for consecutively determining the voltage that drops over the solar cell module. The light of the light spot is modulated for charging the solar cells. An independent claim is also included for a testing device for testing solar cell modules.
