Local illumination image processing system for implementing various algorithms retinoic Nex (Retinex algorithm) based on the modification is provided to improve the intensity value (intensity value) of each position of the input image. To be more clear, light (illumination) of the first image is estimated by the weighting low-pass filter (low pass filter weighted operation), the original image is separated into a luminance image and a reflection image. Next, the estimated illumination is modified by using non-linear mapping function (non-linear mapping function) based on the local illumination at each pixel location. Then, the modified illumination image and the reflection image are combined.
