A method for simultaneous determination of the identity and/or quantification of biomolecules and at least one of their modifications comprises the immobilization of biomolecule-recognizing species, which specifically bind the biomolecule, at defined sites on a surface; the contacting of the biomolecules, which were previously marked with element tags, with the surface carrying the biomolecule-recognizing species; and the contacting of the biomolecules, which are bound to the biomolecule-recognizing species, with modification-recognizing molecules which can be differentiated analytically. The modification-recognizing species can be marked before contacting with specific, analytically differentiable tags. The method can be used in the high-throughput analysis and here in particular in the proteomanalysis, including the detection of posttranslational modifications.
