A method of modeling interaction between a plurality of software agents and an environment, comprising the following: provide agents characteristics, storing information on visible locations for each location in the environment and allowing the agents to access from a field of view arbitrary information on the medium from the stored information on a location by location basis and use the information to progress through the medium, so that the agents appear sophisticated.
