In the present invention, there is disclosed a compound being a reaction product of an ionic compound containing a cation and an anion having up to 100 nonhydrogen atoms and containing at least one substituent comprising a moiety having an active hydrogen, whereby the cation is represented by the following general formula [Le* - H]e+ in which Le* represents a nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur or phosphorus containing a Lewis base containing from one to three C 10-40 alkyl groups having 10 to 40 carbon atoms with a total of from 12 to 100 carbons, and the anion corresponds to the general formula [M'em+Qin(Giq(T - H)ir)iz]ed- wherein : M'is a metal or metalloid selected from Groups 5 through 15 of the Periodic Table of the Elements; Q, G a (T-H) represent meanings specified in the description; and m is an integer from 1 to 7; n is an integer from 0 to 7; q is an integer of 0 or 1; r is an integer from 1 to 3; z is an integer from I to 8; d is an integer from 1 to 7; and n+z-m = d, and the organometallic or metalloid compounds correspond to the general formula MeoRecixXeaiy, in which Meo, Rec, Xea, x and y have a range of meanings specified in the description. The present invention also relates to a catalyst component composition, a supported and nonsupported catalyst composition containing this compound. These catalyst compositions are used for making an addition polymerization that forms a part of the present invention, too.
