PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which reduces the amount of a chemical fertilizer used, is useful for environmental protection and efficiently grows plants by raising adhesion of bacteria to plant roots without impairing essential functions of plants and increasing nutrition acquisition such as nitrogen fixation, etc.;SOLUTION: The method for raising adhesion of a nitrogen-fixing bacterium to plant roots comprises irradiation with a low-energy electron beam.
