摘要

Identifying the genotype in position 171 of the ovine prion protein (PrP) comprises: treating a PrP-containing ovine fluid sample with a denaturing and reducing solution (I); immobilizing the denatured-reduced PrP on a solid phase, optionally by ligand intermediary; contacting the denatured-reduced-immobilized PrP with a detecting antibody; and detecting the possible presence of the detecting antibody, where one of the ligand or the detecting antibody specifically binds to the PrP having a particular allelic form in position 171. Independent claims are included for: (1) a screening process of an ovine population comprising applying the process according to the ovine resistivity and sensitivity against transmissible spongiform subacute encephalopathies (TSSE); and (2) an identification kit of the genotype in position 171 of the ovine PrP comprising a solid phase having a capture antibody, a denaturing and reducing solution and a detecting antibody.
