Medical ventilator for e.g. administering gas to patient, has control unit with data storage and/or processing unit, estimating patient`s biomechanical condition based on gaseous circuit`s pressure, gas flow and preset compliance value
The ventilator (1) has a gaseous circuit (3) with two parallel tubes (13, 23) to connect a gas flow generation unit (2) to respiratory track of a patient (5). Sensors (6, 7) measure pressure and gas flow, respectively in the circuit. A control unit (4) estimates a biomechanical condition such as resistance of air passage of the patient according to determined pressure, gas flow and preset compliance value of the circuit. The unit (4) has a data storage and/or data processing unit for storing and processing the value for estimating the condition in real time.
