The method involves subjecting a squirrel-cage motor to a stator current (Is), and filtering the stator current using a digital low-pass filter for synthesis of a flux current (Id) of the motor. The low-pass filter has unity gain and a cut-off frequency inversely proportional to the slip of the motor. An anti-aliasing low-pass filter is provided on an analog input that acquires the stator current. An independent claim is also included for a method for vector control of an asynchronous motor by acquiring flux current according to an electrical squirrel-cage motor flux current acquiring method.
